This Privacy Policy explains how Lodgient ("Lodgient", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit our website, speak with us, or when a hotel uses the Lodgient platform. We treat guest and customer privacy as non-negotiable and align our practices with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data-protection laws.
The Lodgient platform and its underlying technology are owned and licensed by Lodgient IP Ltd (Ireland). Commercial operations are provided by Lodgient Inc (Delaware, USA). Where Lodgient determines the purposes and means of processing, it acts as a data controller; where Lodgient processes personal data on behalf of a hotel customer, it acts as a data processor under that customer's instructions.
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
Where GDPR applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract; our legitimate interests in operating and improving our services (balanced against your rights); your consent (which you may withdraw at any time); and compliance with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with: our hotel customers (for guest interaction data we process on their behalf); trusted sub-processors and infrastructure providers who support the platform under contract; and authorities where required by law. All processors are bound by appropriate data-protection terms.
Lodgient operates across the EU, Ireland and the USA. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we put appropriate safeguards in place — such as Standard Contractual Clauses — and offer regional data-residency options to customers where available.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, to satisfy legal, accounting or reporting requirements, or as instructed by our hotel customers in respect of data we process on their behalf. When data is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymised.
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@lodgient.com. Where Lodgient processes data on behalf of a hotel, please direct requests to that property; we will support them in responding.
Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function and to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect how the site performs. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.
We protect personal data with measures including encryption in transit, role-based access controls, secure API-based integrations and full operational audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard the information entrusted to us.
The Lodgient platform is a business tool for hospitality operators and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated to customers.
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to privacy@lodgient.com.
